A Colorful Lifestyle

By: Ashley Lauinger and Holly Gaalswyk

On January 21st Nipomo FFA held their monthly meeting to inform their members of their upcoming chapter events. Alyson Maclean encouraged members to continue to recycle their water bottles, and Anahi Vences spoke about our Coats for the Cold clothing drive. Various members also spoke about upcoming Career Development and Public Speaking events. Trevor Autry motivated our members to continue to participate in living a healthy lifestyle with nutritious food and daily exercise, which have been implemented since the beginning of the year. Once the business meeting concluded members made their way to the football field, for a night of excitement.

As the leadership class stood in a circle armed with color filled water balloons and super soakers members dashed through the center of a circle hoping to exit with a clean white T-Shirt. Members hid behind obstacles like trash cans and welding screens as they dodged the balloons and streams of water. All of our members enjoyed their healthy living activity while participating in this event. Nipomo FFA has also decided that they want their members to be active in their daily lives so they have planned to have more events that promote a healthy active lifestyle. The FFA Organization strives to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
